FLOWERS OF UKRAINE. LILAC
This series is a part of my self-directed project "Flowers of Ukraine", celebrating Ukrainian cultural heritage. Flowers, trees, and plants have a deep and symbolic meaning. In Ukrainian culture, the lilac is a flower that symbolizes transformation, and transition. It’s the transition from spring into summer, it’s the transition from our world to the other world. Along with cherry blossom and viburnum, lilac is probably one of the main spring flowers in my culture.
